Non so perché ma oggi ho nella testa “I promised myself” questa ormai datata canzone di Nick Kamen. Bellissima, porta con sé un commovente pizzico di malinconia. Ricordo a memoria le sue parole, e più che mai stamattina la sento viva.
Vorrei solo dare particolare risalto alla frase finale che dice serenamente: “Ti aspetterò.”
Non c’è bisogno che la traduca tutta, perché il suo significato è intuibile ed abbastanza chiaro per chi ha un minimo di conoscenza con l’inglese, anche senza traduzione italiana diretta. Diceva così:
